Logansport Berries Varsity beat Kokomo 4-1 in seven innings on Tuesday at Fincher behind Jennifer Kreighbaum, who had two extra base hits.
She doubled in the first and fifth innings.
Bailie Long was a workhorse in the circle for Logansport Berries Varsity. Long allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Logansport Berries Varsity jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Kreighbaum started the rally for Logansport Berries Varsity with a double. A single by Olivia Pearson then moved Kreighbaum from second to third.
The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as Logansport Berries Varsity scored two runs on back to back to back doubles by Brittany Bandy, Megan Benn, and Megan Karnafel.
Logansport will now play Zionsville for the sectional championship at 6 pm this Thursday night at Fincher field.
