Meet Recap

Logansport placed 21st Saturday at the Culver Academy Invite in the open division. Leading the way for the Berries was Jake Hoover who placed 77th. Ryan Lythgoe was 93rd, Kyle Army was 113th, Austin Young finished 124th, and Zach Russell rounded out the Berries top 5 placing 128th. “We had three of our scoring runners PR which is tough to do on Culver’s course so I know we are heading in the right direction as the big meets begin,” said coach Chuck LaDow. “Kyle Army and Austin Young both ran their best races ever. I ran Christian Dawson in the freshman-sophomore race to see how he stacked up against kids his age and he finished 8th overall and also ran a season best.” If I would have had him in the open race we would have improved our finish position by eight spots, but this weekend is about developing runners and I think that race have Christian some real confidence.” Logansport competes in the North Central Conference Meet on Saturday, October 1st at Indiana Wesleyan in Marion. The varsity runs at 11:00 and the reserves run at 11:30.
