Meet Recap

Logansport finished 6th in the North Central Conference Cross County Championship at Indiana Wesleyan in Marion on Saturday. The Berries were short handed as their number one runner, Jacob Hoover, was out with an injury. Logansport was lead by freshman Christian Dawson, who finished 16th with a season best 17:37. Ryan Lythgoe also ran a personal best 17:46 and placed 22nd. Kenny Echols also ran a career best 18:08 to finish 30th. Rounding out the Logan scorers were Adam Lowry (38th in 18:36) and Zach Russell (40th in 18:41). “We ran a very competitive race and had a lot of time drops today. ” “I was very impressed with my entire team’s effort.” “They knew that had to step up and they answered the call. ” “If we get Jake back in the line up we should be able to contend with Western and Kokomo at the sectional next Saturday. ” Logansport hosts the IHSAA sectional next Saturday with the girl’s race beginning a 10:30 and the boy’s race at 11:15.
