Meet Recap

Logansport finished 19th at the Wildcat Classic at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion on Saturday. Mitchell Rans of Caston won the event with a time of 15:30. For Logansport, Zach Russell led the Berries with a 101st place finish at 18:10. Noe Ortiz continued to lower his PR by finishing second for the Berries with an 102nd place finish at 18:11. Kyle Army finished third for the Berries (18:31), Michael McMahan was fourth (19:05), and Trey Shively rounded out the Berries scorers with a season best 19:13. “Today we really missed having Christian in our line up. He is nursing a minor injury so we decided to give him a chance to recover. The rest of these guys are running hard and lowering their times on legs that have a lot of weekly milage.” “Noe’s summer work and commitment to the long run is really starting to pay big dividends as he continues to lower his PR.” “In the reserve race we had all four runners run season bests which is exciting for them,” said Coach LaDow. Logansport runs at New Prairie next Saturday.
