Meet Recap

The Berries finished 7th at the NCC at Indiana Wesleyan in Marion on Saturday. Leading the way for the Berries was Zach Russell who finished 21st in 17:45. Kyle Army was 26th in 17:57. Freshman Noe Ortiz was 33rd with a time of 18:19. Adam Lowry finished 4th in 18:35, and rounding out the Berry scorers was Trey Shively with a time of 18:38. “I thought we ran pretty well. Russell, Army and Lowry showed some strong senior leadership and grit with season bests for all of them, however they will need another time drop next week. Our number one (Christian Dawson) still is struggling with knee pain and ended up not scoring for us. If Christian runs his typical race we are in the hunt for third.” “We have the sectional next week and Kokomo beat us today. They are running well as is Western. We are going to have to have the race of the season if we hope to defend or title.” Logansport hosts the sectional next Saturday.
