Meet Recap

Logansport finished 6th at the CMA regional on Saturday just missing a third straight trip to the semi state by 7 points. Individually Kyle Army and Zach Russell will move on to the New Prairie semi state next Saturday. “I can’t say enough about these two, they have alternated as our number one all year and have provided outstanding leadership all season long. I am glad they get the honor of representing LHS at the semi state level. Not many athletes have that opportunity.” “We knew we were in the hunt and I figured we needed to beat Western, which we did. We knew Caston would have a one in Mitchell and a top 7 with Rios-Hernandez. We also knew that there freshman could be a top 20 guy, which he was, and that’s tough. We have been better on our four five sports and Caston’s four Ran a great race. I overlooked Manchester and that’s on me, we were marking Western and Kokomo moves and I knew at 4 k we had them, Manchester snuck in and got us.” My hats off to Caston, they have one of the state’s best in Mitchell, and Rios-Hernandez has been the number two in the county. I am excited that Mitchell gets to run the semi state with his team. I just want Kyle and Zach to run a great race at New Prairie as they end their LXC careers. You can’t ask for better kids.
