Logansport High School

The Berry gymnasts continue their momentum and posted their highest team score of the season last night (93.2).  Adrienne Scott led the team with an all around score of 31.4 (Career high).  She competed new skills on bars to help the team score their highest bar rotation of the season!  She scored a 7.45 (CH) on bars, 8.2 on vault, 7.35 on beam and an 8.45 on the floor.  She works really hard and I am extremely proud of her accomplishments this season.  She will be a big contributor for us in the Sectional.  Bella Walker had another solid meet as well.  She finished the meet with an all around score of 30.05.  (Vault: 8.1, Bars: 6.45, Beam: 7.45, Floor: 8.05).  Jentry Strong was our other all around gymnast finishing with a 29.0.  (Vault: 8.1, Bars: 5.5, Beam: 7.45, Floor: 7.95).  She has really had a consistent season for only being a freshman and will definitely help us at Sectionals.  Another consistent gymnast this season is Amilia Zaragoza.  We know that we can count on her on beam and vault.  She scored an 8.3 on vault, and a 7.3 on the beam.  Rylee Zimmerman finished 2nd on floor with a 9.15.  She had an 8.5 on vault, and 8.1 on beam.   We look for her to compete all around by adding a bar routine which will continue to improve the team score.  Lucy Gordon added an 8.1 on vault, 5.25 on bars, and an 8.05 on the beam.  She was able to get her kip on the bars during the meet which was a great accomplishment for her.  Reese Rennewanz competed on beam (6.8), and floor (7.95).  Her floor routine has improved a lot from the start of the season.  Tatianna Jones was able to come back from a recent injury and compete for us for JV.  She won the vault competition with an 8.2.  She scored her career high on the bars with a 5.4.  Also returning from injuries and competing for JV are Chloe Wicker and Lilly Hankins. Chloe finished 3rd on beam (6.9).  Lilly placed 3rd on bars (5.55).  I look for both of these girls to compete some Varsity for us next season.  We host our final Invitational before Sectionals this Saturday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m.
