The Lady Berries traveled to Lafayette on Saturday, February 28, 2026, for Sectionals. They finished with their Season high team score of 94.875. Logansport competed a team of seven girls consisting of Freshman, Jentry Strong, Juniors, Tiara Lincoln, Lucy Gordon, and Amilia Zaragoza, and Seniors Adrienne Scott, Bella Walker, and Rylee Zimmerman. Jentry competed an upgraded vault and scored an 8.0. She stuck her beam routine and scored a 7.0. She has really had a solid season for a freshman, and I look for her to do big things in the next three years. Tiara competed on bars and scored a 5.775. She has shown a lot of improvement on that event, and I believe she will be one of our top all-around girls next season. Amilia has been one of our strongest and most consistent gymnasts on beam. She struggled more than usual at Sectionals, but still posted a score to help our team (6.425). Lucy competed on vault (8.175) and had a phenomenal finish on floor, posting her Career high score of 8.425. She will most likely be competing in all four events next season and will continue to be a strong competitor for us. Sadly, two of our Seniors, Adrienne and Bella, finished their high school gymnastics careers at Sectionals, but I could not be prouder of how they did. Bella scored a 6.225 on bars, 6.3 on beam, and an 8.075 on floor. She has a beautiful form in her dance and skills, which has made a huge impact for our team. She competed skills that you typically do not see, and she will definitely be missed. Adrienne has only been competing in gymnastics for two years. She scored an 8.175 on vault, 7.15 on bars, and 8.2 on floor. Her athleticism is unmatched. Gymnastics is not a sport you can typically just pick up and do. In all of my years coaching, I have never had a gymnast accomplish so much in that short period of time. Rylee had a fantastic meet and will advance on to the Portage regionals on March 7th. She was our only all-around gymnast for the day and started the day off strong on vault. She was able to compete her handspring full vault and tied her Season high of 8.8 and finished in 6th place. She had a very clean bar routine and scored an 8.2. She has been working hard to get her upgrades in her beam routine and posted her season high of an 8.675 with a stuck routine. Our final event was floor, and she went out there and competed a beautiful routine, winning the event with a 9.45 (Season high). She finished 3rd in the all-around with a score of 35.125. She had a slow start to the season, but is peaking at the right moment. I do not doubt that she will continue the momentum at Regionals. Regionals are at Portage High School on Saturday, March 7th, starting at 1 p.m. EST.
