Senior Rylee Zimmerman's gymnastics career came to a close last Saturday at the IHSAA State Finals after being crowned the LHS Prom Queen the evening before. She tied for 39th place on the bars and 45th on the floor. She competed a beautifully executed floor routine and scored an 8.8. While she did not compete the harder skills that she is capable of, we are extremely proud of her State finish. Most gymnasts at her level do not choreograph their own routines, so seeing her compete something that she has created herself is absolutely amazing. Her form on bars is by far something that stands out on the event. She finished with an 8.525 on that event. Rylee dedicated a lot to the sport of gymnastics, and we could not be more proud of her finish. There is no doubt that we will continue to hear more about her accomplishments throughout her future. She made Berry Nation very proud.
