Logan sweeps Benton Central at home by scores of 4-0 and 11-4. Game 1 starter Kuper Jones pitched a complete game shutout allowing 6 hits and striking out 4 Bison hitters. Logan was led offensively by Grady Alexander as he had a pair of hits in game 1 with 2-RBI. Hudson Shank added a 1B and stole 2 bases. Blake Pearson had a pair of doubles and a stolen base. Braylon Ritchie had 2 singles and stole a base. Bryson Herr added a hit and a stolen base. Jose Portilla had a sac fly RBI, and Kolten Hudson added a single. Logan had 9 hits in GM1 and stole 5 bases. Game 2 starter, Lucas Jones was the victim of some poor defense to start the game. Lucas allowed 4 runs, (2ER) on 6 hits, 4BB, and 2K’s in 2.66INN. Logan Coach Frye said Jones should have been out of the inning prior to runs scored and batters faced as the defense was not ready to play. Easton Sweet pitched 3.33INN in relief and earned the W, allowing 0R, 2 hits, 1BB, and 2Ks. Kolten Hudson pitched the 7th INN facing the minimum and striking out 2 Bison hitters. Logan’s offense was led by Camden Chapman in GM2 as he went 3-3 with 2-1B, a 2B and 3RBI. Hudson Shank had a 1B and 1SB, Taylor Albright added a 1B, a 2B, a SB, and an RBI, Blake Pearson went 3-4 with 2-1B and a 2B and RBI. Braylon Ritchie went 2-2 with a single, double, and a stolen base. Grady Alexander added 2-RBI. Bryson Herr had a hit, SB, and an RBI, Kolten Hudson had a hit and a SB, Jose Portilla stole a base and Kuper Jones added a hit and 1SB. Logan had 14 hits in game 2 and stole 7 bases. Logan moves to 7-4 and hosts Hamilton Heights Tuesday.
