Varsity vs South Bend St. Joe (4 - 2) Win Logansport Varsity Berries Defeat SBSJ Behind Strong Performance From Brooklynn Hagerty By GameChanger Media Brooklynn Hagerty was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 17 strikeouts in Logansport Varsity Berries's 4-2 victory over SBSJ on Saturday. Hagerty gave up six hits and two runs over seven innings while walking three. Logansport Varsity Berries opened the scoring in the first after Hagerty homered to left field, scoring two runs. Myla Blazejewski doubled to center field, which helped SBSJ tie the game at two in the bottom of the second. Logansport Varsity Berries took the lead in the top of the third inning after Hagerty tripled to center field, and Katelynn Spradling singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Blazejewski took the loss for SBSJ. The starter went seven innings, giving up four runs on 10 hits, striking out seven and walking two. Logansport Varsity Berries piled up 10 hits in the game. Hagerty drove the middle of the lineup, leading Logansport Varsity Berries with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-4 on the day.
