Varsity vs Kokomo Win Logansport Varsity Berries Firing On All Cylinders Against Kokomo Varsity Wildkats By GameChanger Media Logansport Varsity Berries won big over Kokomo Varsity Wildkats 11-0 on Wednesday. Logansport Varsity Berries got on the board in the first inning after Bella Nicoles drew a walk, scoring one run. Logansport Varsity Berries extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI walks by Aracyn Good, Adrienne Scott, and Nicoles. Four more Logansport Varsity Berries runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 8-0. An error scored one run, and Scott hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs. Two more Logansport Varsity Berries runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 10-0. Ellie Montgomery hit a solo inside the park home run, and Tatianna Jones doubled, scoring one run. Brooklynn Hagerty earned the win for Logansport Varsity Berries. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Jentry Strong pitched three innings in relief for Logansport Varsity Berries. The reliever gave up one hit and zero runs while, striking out seven and walking one. Jordynn Dupay took the loss for Kokomo Varsity Wildkats. The pitcher went five innings, surrendering 11 runs (five earned) on six hits, striking out six and walking nine. Evie Kitchel, Scott, Bianca Cortez, Montgomery, Ashlyn Cox, and Jones each collected one hit for Logansport Varsity Berries. Scott went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Logansport Varsity Berries had patience at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Nicoles, Hagerty, and Scott led the team with two free passes each. Lucy Gordon and Good each stole multiple bases for Logansport Varsity Berries. Logansport Varsity Berries ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game. Logansport Varsity Berries were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Nicoles had the most chances in the field with six. Dupay led Kokomo Varsity Wildkats with one hit in two at bats. Kokomo Varsity Wildkats turned one double play in the game.
