Varsity vs Hamilton Heights Win Brooklynn Hagerty Leads Logansport Varsity Berries Past Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies Brooklynn Hagerty struck out 10 batters as the starter led Logansport Varsity Berries past Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies 16-3 on Tuesday. Hagerty gave up five hits and three runs over seven innings while walking none. Logansport Varsity Berries got on the board in the top of the first inning after Gracie Risley grounded out, and Hagerty homered to center field, each scoring one run. Logansport Varsity Berries added one run in the second. Evie Kitchel stole home, making the score 3-0. Logansport Varsity Berries scored six runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Bella Nicoles singled, scoring one run, Katelynn Spradling singled, scoring one run, Kitchel grounded out, scoring one run, Heather Crays induced Teagan Wolf to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, an error scored one run, and Adrienne Scott singled, scoring one run. Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies scored two runs in the bottom of the third on a home run to right field by McKenzie Jackson. Crays took the loss for Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies. The righty went three innings, surrendering nine runs (five earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking one. Logansport Varsity Berries amassed 16 hits in the game. Hagerty provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Logansport Varsity Berries with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Kitchel, Scott, and Tatianna Jones each collected three hits for Logansport Varsity Berries. Nicoles and Spradling each collected multiple hits for Logansport Varsity Berries. Logansport Varsity Berries ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game. Logansport Varsity Berries didn't commit a single error in the field. Nicoles had the most chances in the field with 10. Jackson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies with two runs batted in.
