Logansport Varsity vs Hamilton Heights High School (6 - 3) Brooklynn Hagerty hit two home runs and drove in four as Logansport Varsity Berries defeated Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies 6-3 on Wednesday. Hagerty homered in the first and third innings. A single by McKenzie Jackson put Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies on the board in the top of the first. A home run to center field by Hagerty gave Logansport Varsity Berries the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first. Logansport Varsity Berries added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Hagerty homered to center field, and Evie Kitchel singled to center field, each scoring one run. Gracie Risley earned the win for Logansport Varsity Berries. The hurler surrendered five hits and three runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking one. Lily Cash took the loss for Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering five runs on seven hits, striking out none and walking two. Hagerty pitched three innings of no-run ball for Logansport Varsity Berries in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out seven and walking none. Kitchel, Logansport Varsity Berries's number seven hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Logansport Varsity Berries were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bella Nicoles had the most chances in the field with 14. Heather Crays led Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies with two hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Jackson, Kamryn Rhoton, and Ellie Engle each drove in one run for Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies. Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies turned one double play in the game. Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies didn't commit a single error in the field. Engle had the most chances in the field with nine. Logansport Varsity Berries welcome Northwestern on Thursday for their next game.
