The Logansport Berry gymnasts had an extremely busy week in competition finishing with hosting a 2nd Invitational on 2/22/2025 with Lafayette Jeff, Western and Kokomo. Logansport finished in 2nd place with season high team score of 96.475. Lafayette Jeff won the invite with a score of 98.4. Rylee Zimmerman was back in action and finished 2nd in the all around with a 35.375. She scored a career high on floor with a 9.625 placing 1st on that event. She placed 6th on vault (8.475), 2nd on bars (8.925), and 4th on beam (8.35). Bella Walker tied for 4th on floor with an 8.85. Adrienne Scott also returned and helped the team on bars scoring her season high of 6.25. The Logansport gymnasts pushed through soreness and exhaustion and competed four meets in one week. Many of these girls hit season and career highs all within that last week of their regular season. Freshman, Ayla Lewellen scored an 8.25 (SH) during Senior night and a 6.9 (SH) at Plymouth. I anticipate her to be an all around gymnast next season. She works hard and has natural talent in the sport. Our other freshman, Sommer Lucero, scored her season high on bars (5.45) and floor 7.35 during our senior night and competed beam at our invite scoring a 6.475. She balances cheerleading, swimming and gymnastics and is still able to show improvement and is willing to try new things week to week. Sophomore, Tiara Lincoln returned this year to the sport and competes in the all around. She has become someone we rely on to help the team score each meet. She continues to add more difficulty to her routines. Lucy Gordon and Amilia Zaragoza are two returning sophomores. Their experience has helped not only with our scores, but also with helping the new gymnasts.
