The Logansport gymnasts finished their season on a high note at the 2025 Sectional meet on March 1st. The team scored their second highest score of 94.845 and placed 7th. This team consisting mostly of girls that are new to the sport could not have performed any better. I am extremely proud of their hard work and dedication to improving each week. A lot of them really stepped up for the team. Sophomore, Lucy Gordon competed in three events for us. She scored an 8.275 on vault, 5.275 on bars, and an 8.1 on floor. Another Sophomore, Amilia Zaragoza competed on the beam (6.10). Newcomers to the team, Izzy Lundy (Sophomore) scored her season high on floor 7.375 and Adrienne Scott (Jr.) scored a 6.05 on bars. Juniors, Tatianna Jones scored an 8.0 on vault, Reese Rennewanz scored a 6.475 on beam, and and our other all arounder, Bella Walker scored an 8.0 on vault, a career high on bars (6.475), a 6.85 on beam, and an 8.4 on floor. She finished with a 29.725 in the all around. We will only be losing one Senior, and I anticipate the team to be even bigger and stronger next season. Junior, Rylee Zimmerman was the runner up in the all around and advances to Regionals with a career high score of 36.25! She scored an 8.55 on vault, finished on 2nd on bars with a 9.175 (CH), 3rd on beam with a season high score of 9.175, and 5th on the floor with a 9.35. She really had a great day. She has some additional skills that will be ready to put in her routines for the Regional so she can hopefully increase her scores to advance to State. We have the toughest Regional, but she definitely has the potential to make it out. Regionals will be held at Portage High School on Saturday, March 8 starting at Noon (CST).
