Logansport Softball wins 14-1 against Hoosier Conference foe Tipton Blue Devils. The Lady Berries got on the board early with three runs in the bottom of the first. Kellyn Cripe lead off the game with a walk. Gracie Risley lined an RBI triple to centerfield to score Cripe. Bella Nicoles RBI single plated Risley. Packard singled to put runners at first and second. With two out, Rylinn Spradling reached base on an error. Nicoles scored on the Blue Devil error to give the Berries a 3-0 lead. The Lady Berries scored seven more runs in the bottom of the second. Teagan Wolf lead off the frame with an inside the park homerun. Cripe singled and stole second base. Risley lined a RBI single to center. Packard launched a double off the left field wall scoring Risley. Adrienne Scott singles sharply to center. Packard scores on another Blue Devil error. R. Spradling smashed an RBI single to center to score Scott. Spradling scores on an single by Mady Baumgardner. Wolf singles to right. Baumgardner scores on error on a Blue Devil over throw to give the Berries a 10-0 lead. Risley lead off the bottom third with triple to left center. Amilia Zaragoza reaches first on a hit by pitch. Evie Kitchel infield single loads the bases. Lucy Gordon ground ball single to center scores two. Bianca Cortez finished scoring for the Berries when she crushed a double to left scoring both Kitchel and Gordon. Freshman Mady Baumgardner was dialed in for the Berries in the circle The right hander threw 5 innings, giving up one unearned run, on two hits and striking out 4 Blue Devils. The Lady Berries are back in action tomorrow night against Lafayette Jeff at Lafayette.
