The Berries boys and girls track teams continued their winning ways at Winamac on Tuesday evening with the boys winning their meet by a score of 89 to 43 and the girls defeating the Warrior girls by a score of 76 to 56. Both teams remain undefeated at 6-0. They will be in action at Logansport against Kokomo on Thursday evening at 5:30 pm. Alette Woodhouse led the Berries with personal best performances in the 1600 meters (5:36.83) and the 800 meters (2:34.92). Ashanta Curry set her personal best in the high jump with a 5'3" jump to win that competition. The 4X 100 meter relay team of Porter, Williams, Chery and Paul took first place with a time of 55.86. Other winners for the girls team were Tiara Lincoln (long jump), Adyson Porter (100 Hurdles), Lorrie Curry (400 meter dash), Erin Williams (300 Hurdles), and Ximena Lopez (pole vault), The boys team swept all three of the relay events with the 4X 100 meter team of Wicker, Morock, Hyppolite, and Baldini winning with a time of 45.62. The 4X 400 team of Schurter, Miranda, Osorio-Montero, and Castro-Martinez won their event in 3:51.66. The 4X 800 meter team of Bibian, A. Zarate, Miranda, and M. Zarate won their race in 9:37.32. Eliott Baldini was a triple winner for the evening with the relay victory and a personal best jump in the high jump of 6'1" and a victory in the 100 meter dash. Other first place finishers for the boys were Morock (110 hurdles), Strong (800 meter run), Vigensley Merjuste (long jump), and Sebastian (1600 meter run).
