Logansport Berries Baseball Fall After Strong Showing By Western By GameChanger Media Logansport Berries Baseball had trouble keeping up with Western in an 8-1 loss on Tuesday. Western were the first to get on the board in the first when Levi Shoemaker homered to left field, scoring two runs. A single by Shoemaker extended the Western lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning. Jaiden McNulty earned the win for Western. The pitcher surrendered four hits and one run over six innings, striking out seven and walking two. Josh Middleton took the loss for Logansport Berries Baseball. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs on eight hits, striking out one and walking none. Deagan Kitchel led Logansport Berries Baseball with one run batted in. The right fielder went 3-for-3 on the day. Logansport Berries Baseball were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Carson Dubes made the most plays with six. Western piled up 11 hits in the game. Shoemaker drove the middle of the lineup, leading Western with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Kyler Norman led Western with three hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Gavin Denton collected two hits for Western in three at bats.
