Lady Berries win in extra inning 4-2 over the Harrison Raiders Logansport wins a pitching duel in 8 innings. Gracie Risley held the Raiders offense to two runs over eight innings. The Lady Berries offense did just enough against Purdue commit Bradi Odom to secure the win. The Logansport Defense came through again, making plays at crucial moments in the game. Harrison got on the board first in the second inning with a sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead. The second time through the batting order the Lady Berries started to make the adjustment offensively. Kellyn Cripe reached second on a two base error on the outfield to lead off the 4th. Risley followed that up with a double to left scoring Cripe. A ground ball out by Bella Nicoles moves Risley to third base. Natalee Packard lined a sacrifice fly to center scoring Risley for a 2-1 lead. Harrison answered back with a run in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game at 2. The score remained knotted at 2 through regulation. The Lady Berries scored twice in the eighth to take a 4-2 lead. Pinch hitter Bianca Cortez led off with a single that hit the first base bag. Rylinn Spradling sacrifice bunt was executed perfectly allowing the Kate Spradling to advance and R. Spradling to reach first. Risley took care of the rest when she lined a double into the left centerfield gap score both Spradlings. Risley closed out the 8th inning sitting down all three Raiders in the eight. Risley was 2-4 on the day with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs. In the circle the right hander surrendered 5 hits, 2 runs, while striking out seven. Collecting hits for the Lady Berries were Packard, Adrienne Scott, Cortez, and R. Spradling.
