Logansport Berries Baseball Stymied By Peru Varsity Tigers By GameChanger Media Logansport Berries Baseball couldn't keep up with Peru Varsity Tigers and fell 11-1 on Friday. Peru Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Bryce Hill tripled to left field, and Lucas Musser doubled down the right field line, each scoring one run. A double by Musser extended the Peru Varsity Tigers lead to 4-0 in the top of the second inning. Jackson Boswell earned the win for Peru Varsity Tigers. The hurler allowed four hits and one run over six innings, striking out four and walking two. Aiden Swank took the loss for Logansport Berries Baseball. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering four runs on five hits, striking out none and walking three. Carson Dubes, Deagan Kitchel, Kuper Jones, and Taylor Albright each collected one hit for Logansport Berries Baseball. Jones went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Logansport Berries Baseball turned one double play in the game. Peru Varsity Tigers collected 13 hits in the game. Musser drove the middle of the lineup, leading Peru Varsity Tigers with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Boswell, Gavin Eldridge, and William Rodriguez each collected multiple hits for Peru Varsity Tigers. Dylan Heyob stole two bases.
