LHS Softball scores a 7-3 victory over Hamilton Heights Logansport Lady Berries Softball jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Kellyn Cripe led off the game with a double to centerfield. Bella Nicoles reaches first base on a infield single. With one out and runners at first and third, Natalee Packard RBI ground out scores Cripe. The Lady Berries scored again in the second inning. Bianca Cortez is hit by a pitch. Lucy Gordon reaches on a Hamilton Height error and was thrown out trying to take second. With two out and Cortez at third, Rylinn Spradling ground ball to right to score Cortez. Cripe smashes a triple to right scoring Spradling. Gracie Risley RBI single to left gives the Lady Berries a 4-0 lead. Logansport gave up two unearned runs in the top of the third making the score 4-2 Berries. Logansport answered back in the bottom of the third. Packard walked to lead off the inning. Adrienne Scott executed a perfectly placed bunt single to put runners at first and third. Brooklynn Hagerty doubled to left to give the Lady Berries a 6-2 lead. In the bottom of the fourth, Risley reaches base on an error. Courtesy runner Amilia Zaragoza advances to second on a pass ball. Packard singles to center and Zaragoza scores on an error. Risley threw a seven inning complete game. The freshman surrendered 3 runs, 1 earned, 4 hits and struck out 7. Risley picked up her seventh win on the season. The Lady Berries offense was led by Cripe, Risley, Spradling with two hits each. Cripe had a double, triple, 2 runs and RBI. Nicoles, Packard, Scott, and Hagerty each had a hit. Hagerty had a double and 2RBI. Risely, Packard, and Spradling all had a RBI.
