The Logansport Lady Berries Softball team wins Hoosier Conference Championship with victory over Rensselaer Central. Gracie Risley dominated the circle for Logansport. Risley threw a 5 inning complete game shutout to secure the championship. Risley allowed 2 hits and struck out 9 to pick up the win. Lady Berries jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Kellyn Cripe led off the game with a double to left center. Risley reached base on a walk. Bella Nicoles sacrifice bunt moved runners to second and third. Natalee Packard sacrifice fly scored Cripe. Bianca Cortez walked to lead off the bottom of the second. Lucy Gordon reaches base on a bunt single. Mady Baumgardner reaches base on a error on a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt. Cortez and Gordon score on the same error. Cripe RBI ground out scores Baumgardner give the Lady Berries a 4-0 lead. Logansport scores three more times in the bottom of the third after an hour and ten minute rain delay. Adrienne Scott singles to center. Cortez bunt single puts runners a first and second. Gordan sacrifice bunt moves runners to second and third. Baumgardner's reaches on an error on a ground ball to short, scoring Scott and Cortez. Baumgardner advances to third on the same error. Rylinn Spradling's RBI ground out gives Logansport a 7-0 lead. Risley led off the bottom of the fourth with a single to left. Nicoles reaches on a throwing error and both her and Risley score on the error. Gordon singles on a line drive to center to start the fifth. Gordon steals second and advances to third on a ground ball by Spradling. Cripe's line drive single to left scores Gordon to seal the 10-0 victory and the Hoosier Conference Championship for Logansport.
