Logansport varsity softball wins game one of a double header against Benton Central. Freshman Mady Baumgardner dominated the circle for the Lady Berries. Baumgardner allowed no runs, on 2 hits, while striking out 8 in a 5 inning complete game shut out. Logansport scored early and often to start the game. Kellyn Cripe led off with a line drive triple to left center field. Gracie Risley RBI infield single scores Cripe. Bella Nicoles singles to center putting runners at first and second. Natalee Packard RBI single scores Risley. Adrienne Scott hits into a fielder's choice scoring Nicoles, for a 3-0 lead. Bianca Cortez hits a RBI single to left. Mady Baumgardner sharp single to left puts runners at first and second. Ry Spradling doubles to center to drive in two more runs. Cripe walks and Spradling scores on a wild pitch. Risley doubles on a line drive to center to give the Lady Berries a 9-0 lead. With one out in the bottom of the second Amilia Zaragoza singles on a line drive to left. Teagan Wolf reaches on an error. Spradling doubles to left driving in two more runs. Cripe's RBI single gives the Lady Berries a 12-0 lead. Mya Hershberger singles to left to lead off the third. Packard follows with a single to left. Lucy Gordon doubles to left scoring Hershberger. Baumgardner singles to right to give Logansport a 14-0 lead. Logansport offense was led by Cripe, Risley, Nicoles, Packard, Baumgardner, and Spradling with 2 hits each. Evie Kitchel, Hershberger, Gordon, Cortez, and Zaragoza, each collected a hit in a 17 hit performance by the Lady Berries. Spradling and Risley had multiple RBIs. Cripe, Risley and Spradling each scored twice.
