Logansport completes double header sweep of Benton Central on senior night with a 11-0 win in game two. Mady Baumgardner picked up her second win of the day with her second complete game shutout versus Benton Central. The freshman allowed no runs, on 2 hits and 9 strikeouts. With one out in the bottom of the first, Kellyn Cripe reaches base on an error. Cripe steals second. Natalee Packard doubles to left to give the Lady Berries a 1-0 lead. Lucy Gordon doubles with one out in the bottom of the second. Amilia Zaragoza singles on a fly ball to center as Gordon advances to third. Rylinn Spradling hits an RBI single to left scoring Gordon. Zaragoza scores on a throwing error. Cripe walks to put runners at first and third. Packard RBI single puts runners at first and second. Gracie Risley lines a three run homer over the left field fence to give Logansport a 7-0 lead. Cripe leads off the bottom of the fourth with a double to left. Packard infield single leaves runners a first and second with no outs. Mya Hershberger walks to load the bases. Risley singles to left scoring two more runs for a 9-0 lead. Logansport closed out the game in the bottom of the fifth, when Cripe walked with one out. Then Packard lauched a two run homerun to secure the 11-0 mercy rule victory. Logansport collect twelve hits, led by Packard with four and Risley with 3. Cripe, Packard, Gordon each doubled. Packard and Risley each homered. Cripe scored four times and Packard three. Risley had five RBIs and Packard had four. Collecting one hit each for the Lady Berries, Spradling, Cripe, Cortez, Gordon, and Zaragoza. Logansport is now 21-4 on the season heading into the final week of the season. Logansport will play West Lafayette, McCutcheon and Lewis Cass next week to finish the regular season.
