Five hits from Heidi Reed paved the way to victory for Logansport JV over Maconaquah 24-12 on Friday. Reed singled in the second, singled in the fourth, doubled in the fifth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.

Logansport JV earned the victory despite allowing Maconaquah to score eight runs in the second inning. E Artrip, H Maston, T Serrano, A Bunch, R Thompson, and B Jacobs each had RBIs in the big inning.

Maconaquah took an early lead in the second inning. Maconaquah scored one run when Serrano singled.

Logansport JV took the lead for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Brooke Overman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Logansport JV scored on a stolen base during Alexis Doss’s at bat. Then Doss tripled , driving in two, Kylie Rozzi doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Hunter Hamm singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Logansport JV scored on a stolen base during Reagan Hildebrand’s at bat. Then Hildebrand singled.

Brooke Veasey was on the rubber for Logansport JV. She surrendered 12 runs on 14 hits over seven innings, striking out nine.

Jacobs led things off on the rubber for Maconaquah. She allowed 29 hits and 24 runs over seven innings, striking out five.

Logansport JV racked up 29 hits on the day. Reed, Hildebrand, Overman, Hamm, Veasey, Doss, M Walker, and Rozzi each racked up multiple hits for Logansport JV. Hildebrand and Reed each managed five hits to lead Logansport JV. Logansport JV tore up the base paths, as seven players stole at least two bases. Reed led the way with eight.

Maconaquah racked up 14 hits in the game. Jacobs, Thompson, Serrano, H Cole, and Artrip all had multiple hits for Maconaquah.
