Logansport JV wins contest against Maconaquah, 9-4

Maconaquah got on the board in the first inning when B Jacobs drew a walk, scoring one run.

Logansport JV pulled away for good with seven runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Natalie Coffing doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Alexis Doss tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, Alexys Bender singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Brooke Veasey singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Kyleigh Sweet singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, and Logansport JV scored one run on a stolen base.

Veasey was on the mound for Logansport JV. She allowed six hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out eight.

Jacobs got the start for Maconaquah. She allowed 17 hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one.

Logansport JV tallied 17 hits. Brooke Overman, M Walker, Reagan Hildebrand, Hunter Hamm, Sweet, Coffing, and Bender each racked up multiple hits for Logansport JV. Overman went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Logansport JV in hits. Logansport JV was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Hildebrand had the most chances in the field with nine. Logansport JV stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Bender led the way with three.

Maconaquah didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jacobs had the most chances in the field with six.
