Kylie Rozzi showed off great discipline at the plate on Saturday, as she walked three times while leading Logansport JV to a 21-1 victory over Southwood.
Logansport JV got things started in the first inning. Heidi Reed drew a walk, scoring one run.
Hannah Bushaw got the start for Logansport JV. She allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out eight.
A Dovglass got the start for Southwood. She lasted five innings, allowing 18 hits and 21 runs while striking out five.
Logansport JV collected 18 hits on the day. Reed, Bushaw, Rozzi, M Walker, Brooke Overman, Hunter Hamm, Kyleigh Sweet, and Alexis Doss all had multiple hits for Logansport JV. Reed went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Logansport JV in hits. Logansport JV stole 20 bases during the game as six players stole more than one. Rozzi led the way with five. Logansport JV didn’t commit a single error in the field. Reagan Hildebrand had the most chances in the field with eight.
J Brubarer led Southwood with two hits in two at bats. Southwood didn’t commit a single error in the field. D Sparks had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
