Logansport JV fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 16-1 loss to Zionsville on Friday. Zionsville took the lead on a stolen base in the first inning.

The Logansport JV struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Zionsville, giving up 16 runs.

In the first inning, Zionsville got their offense started when Zionsville scored one run on a stolen base.

Zionsville scored seven runs in the second inning. A Pickell, A Stewart, P Zookel, and S Southard each had RBIs in the big inning.

Stewart got the start for Zionsville. She surrendered one run on six hits over five innings, striking out three.

Brooke Veasey started the game for Logansport JV. She surrendered 15 runs on 15 hits over five innings, striking out four.

Logansport JV saw the ball well today, racking up six hits in the game. Heidi Reed and Veasey all collected multiple hits for Logansport JV. Reed went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Logansport JV in hits. Logansport JV was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Reed made the most plays with four.

Zionsville totaled 15 hits in the game. K Cantrell, A Serbin, Zookel, and L Baker all managed multiple hits for Zionsville. K Cantrell led Zionsville with four hits in four at bats. Zionsville tore up the base paths, as five players stole at least two bases. K Cantrell led the way with three.
