Logansport Berries Varsity scored six runs in the third on its way to an 11-2 victory over Richmond on Saturday. Logansport Berries Varsity big bats were led by Lexi Ayers, Kylie Rozzi, and Megan Benn, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Richmond captured the lead in the first inning. C Auxier drove in one when she tripled.

Logansport Berries Varsity took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Ayers singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Rozzi singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, and Benn singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Claire Kitchel led things off in the circle for Logansport Berries Varsity. She surrendered two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Auxier started the game for Richmond. She surrendered 11 runs on 16 hits over seven innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Logansport Berries Varsity racked up 16 hits in the game. Justine Brown, Benn, Ayers, and Olivia Pearson all collected multiple hits for Logansport Berries Varsity. Brown and Ayers both went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Benn went 3-for-5, to lead Logansport Berries Varsity in hits.

Logan will play Anderson at 5:30 for the NCC tournament.
