Claire Kitchel hurled a perfect game on Thursday to lead Logansport Berries Varsity past Taylor 10-0. Kitchel struck out Olivia Uncapher to end the game.

Logansport Berries Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Reagan Hildebrand singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Logansport Berries Varsity tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Logansport Berries Varsity offense in the inning was led by Hannah Bushaw, Elle Deardorff, and Justyce Rohrabaugh, who all drove in runs.

Kitchel toed the rubber for Logansport Berries Varsity. She lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out eight and walking zero.

Logansport Berries Varsity scattered eight hits in the game. Hildebrand and Lexi Zartman all had multiple hits for Logansport Berries Varsity. Zartman and Hildebrand each collected two hits to lead Logansport Berries Varsity. Aubry Jackson led Logansport Berries Varsity with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases. Logansport Berries Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.
Logan will play in Hammond on Saturday against Bishop Noll and South Bend Clay at 11am.
