We really hit the ball pretty well overall. Our scores don’t necessarily show that as we didn’t have anyone in the 70’s. There are some tough holes at Round Barn and in competition the teams who can quickly overcome adversity and get back on a positive mentality will usually come out on top. We knew going in that CMA and Tipton would be tough competition. I told our guys that you have to prepare yourself that bad breaks will happen, and that not every shot will be exactly how you wanted to go, but those who can accept it and bounce back the fastest are successful. I think today was a good eye opener for us. I was extremely proud of how we really battled on the back and we didn’t give up. That part of our maturation has come a long way. Overall being the first taste of competition this year I am happy with our ball striking, the mental aspect will improve with more competitive reps. Evan finished tied for 5th with 80 and had an eagle 2 from the fairway on the last hole to do it, and Trevor finished tied for 8th with 82. Garrick really struggled to start but finished the back with 37 to shoot 85. Easter shot 85. So those numbers are 8-10 shots higher than where they should be but it was mainly mental errors and mindset.
